Maney lives on a farm with her grandparents. As an animal lover, there’s no place else she would rather be. The orphan lamb leaps around her feet while tourists buy Icelandic doughnuts and sheep heads from her. The kids at school are sometimes difficult, like Solmundur who moves to the next farm over. He’s like an alien gawking at everything he sees. But after they rescue a swan egg from a fox everything changes. Late one evening they visit a fairy mound and are swallowed by darkness. But the best thing is that Solmundur has a little sister who might just become Maney’s sister as well.
