Three hundred years earlier, a boy sits in the same valley, waiting for a Skoffin — a mythical creature with a lethal gaze — to be born, even though there’s a strict ban on raising such a monster. Neither one of them knows it, but soon Disa and Bjorn’s paths will cross and set off a course of events that will surpass all the monster stories the world has ever known.
