Stefan Mani has won the Blóðdropinn Icelandic Crime Award 2024 for Only Death was a Witness. The book presents a tense, fast-paced narrative as Reykjavik’s police race against time to prevent a catastrophic event. The jury highlighted Stefan Mani’s vivid character development, particularly the portrayal of Hordur Grimsson, a flawed but compelling police officer. The suspense is skillfully built, and the combination of gripping action and subtle humor makes this novel stand out in the Icelandic crime genre.
Congratulations to Ran and Stefan on these well-deserved accolades! We look forward to seeing their continued success.
